We will be cleaning out the stuff on the side of the house.

Kleinman children: YOU are responsible to take care of your own belongings at the house. So bring bags or boxes to collect your junk/treasures if you want them.

During the project Rhi, Marni & Alex will be watching the kids at Alpine Park, so drop your kids off there on your way up to funny farm.

(ya know where AF bank is? It's just east of that on the same road. Sorry, I don't have an exact address)

This park is fully equipped with:
-Tennis courts
-Basketball court
-Sand Volleyball
-Soccer
-2 playgrounds (including a handicap swing just in case Handy Ryan decides to join us)
-Splash pad

So bring your:

*swim suits/ towels
*balls (and by balls I mean sports equipment, so don't be gross.)
AND it's a potluck, so bring FOOD to share with all 3598734500 of us.
Last, but certainly not least, Casey will be accepting birthday gifts at this time. As his birthday is the day before. So BRING CASEY'S GIFTS. We will be getting him the popular best selling book, Chicken Soup for the Massage Therapist's Soul. We don't want to have any repeats this year, so you guys think of something else ok? I hear he likes ice cream a great deal?

As for food I think we might be bringing Ryan's mexican corn, so everybody can support him in his corn stand coming to a town near you this summer.

We also have tennis equipment we can bring & a basketball I think.

Family Reunion 2010!! --REVISED--

OK folks here's the run down:

First off everyone needs to make their own t-shirts. The only guidelines are that you must have the year on it somewhere and the infinity sign somewhere (it looks like a number 8 on it's side). We just wanted to use the infinity sign as kind of a symbol for Kleinman United, eternity, infinity...you get the idea.

Next, we are having a cookie competition on the first day so have your cookies pre-made if you want to participate.

Finally, we are going to be making favorite song CD's (adult & child) again this year so you need to submit your favorite song to Ryan ASAP!! if he doesn't have it by Tuesday he'll pick a song for you and he said it would be dumb.

--I don't know if this was clear, everyone in your family must submit a favorite song...even the babies.

Saturday, September 4th

9:00-11:00AM--Drop off cookies, and children to MOM and MARNI at the Kris & Marni's house. Then proceed to Grandmother Gourley's for a service project. The teams and assignments are as follows:

As I was unloading some things at my local DI I saw a sign on the fence out of the corner of my eye.

The Last Time...

It is always fun to look forward to first times, first day of school, loosing your first tooth, first time riding a bike, first dates, first dances, first kisses, first children. We enjoy these firsts and often their consecutive seconds and thirds. It is harder, however, to anticipate and appreciate lasts. The last time I changed Addi's diaper was probably the millionth time I'd changed her diaper. I was ready to be DONE but even then I didn't know THAT time was the LAST time. If I did maybe I would have enjoyed it more, appreciated it more, I might have even been sad that that little bond between us would be gone. Lasts are often realized only after they're gone...maybe it's more merciful that way.

On September 12, 2009 another last, slipped away. It was the day I left No. 11091 for the last time. I wish I would have known. I probably would have walked around just...remembering...and saying good bye. I would try to remember:

trick-or-treating and passing out candy from the foundation of our un-built house

eating Burger King whoppers on the kitchen floor when it was just plywood while Dad put up shelves in the closets.

making star trek movies in the basement

lining up in the bathroom mirror downstairs making jokes, flexing (the boys obviously), and being reminded to "be quiet! the baby is asleep!"

gathering piles and piles of rocks in the yard before we put all the sod down

remembering Ryan's face when after hollering "FART's ALARM" when we thought Dad was coming, then turning around to run right smack into him.

reading The Great Brain out loud to Ryan and Ash on the water bed down stairs

the times we spent on our knees cleaning the kitchen floor--and just cleaning in general

making up funny songs while we worked

laughing-- especially in the kitchen late at night with whatever nieghbor, friend or exchange student happened to be there

the picture doors

cookie cook-off

the bed upstairs that gave friends and every other Tom, Dick and convict a place to sleep for the night

the many parties/showers/BBQ's/receptions in the kitchen and back yard

this is the where we brought Amy, Jacob, Bridger and Addi when they came home from the hospital

11091 is where we all came to eat, shower, sleep, get ready, play, work...live.
